Redfern Station Upgrade Update July 2022
A single lane closure on Lawson Street will be in place during Saturday 23 July 6am - Monday 25 July at 6am and Saturday 30 June at 6am to Monday 1 August at 6am for service investigation, excavation and stormwater installation at the corner of Little Eveleigh Street and Lawson Street.
In July, final work activities will continue in the work area on Marian Street during standard construction hours for the new shared zone. This work includes:
- Service stormwater and drainage installation
- Pavement installation and landscaping.
Between Friday 1 July to Friday 8 July, the temporary road closure on Rosehill and Marian Streets, and the detour via Margaret Street will remain in place.From Saturday 9 July, regular access to Rosehill and Marian Streets will be reinstated. Traffic control will be in place to manage any access changes for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
Changes to Parking:
Parking will be temporarily removed on surrounding streets for service searching and the delivery of plant and equipment to our site compounds.
- Rosehill Street: Up to 25 parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable from Tuesday 28 June to Friday 8 July
- Rosehill Street: Up to five parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable from Friday 8 July to Sunday 31 July
- Cornwallis Street: Up to five parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable from Friday 1 July to Friday 15 July
- Wilson Street: Up to six parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable from Friday 1 July to Monday 11 July and from Tuesday 18 July to Monday 25 July.
