Love Pop

An immersive installation of tasty over-sized treats will pop up in South Eveleigh’s Innovation Plaza on Locomotive Street from February 15-March 5 in celebration of WorldPride!

  
Love Pop is a giant inflatable art installation created by artist Matthew Aberline with the Beautiful and Useful Studio for Tech Central innovation district and South Eveleigh to celebrate WorldPride Rainbow City. Celebrating love and diversity, the installation takes the viewer through a series of interactive tasks spreading fun and kindness. The work was developed with award winning writer Catherine Moore.

Walk through the various inflatables for an immersive experience that encourages you to bubble with optimism with the Love Pop energy drink, love easily and readily with the Fast Love fast food, and serve happiness to friends and family after experiencing the True Colours of Love. 

Each artwork has a message behind it that enables visitors to open their minds in fun ways. Modelled after different kinds of food, like a carton of milk for strength and bravery, and a ‘Crazy in Love’ treat box, the installation calls on the tradition of sharing food and breaking bread with family and friends to link these values to those of love and diversity. Love and diversity are best when shared, and all the sweeter to experience together.
