NAIDOC Morning Tea
As part of NAIDOC week, we invite you to a Morning Tea with local and respected Elders at South Eveleigh.
Aboriginal artist and activist, Aunty Kathryn Dodd Farrawell, a proud Kaanju-Birri woman, provides a strong connection to her culture through her award-winning artworks including ‘Connections To Our Elders’, a bespoke artwork commissioned with South Eveleigh and on display at 107 South Eveleigh and as flag artwork throughout the Precinct. Aunty Kathryn and collaborators from The Glebe TreeHouse, will share her artistic process and beautiful corresponding poetry. Admire her artistry and have a yarn with the local Elders and South Eveleigh community.
Enjoy tea and coffee with delectable treats prepared with love by Aunty Beryl Van-Oploo of Yaama Barrgay Catering, a proud Kamilaroi woman and culinary master and educator of Australian native foods.
