Street Party | Potting Shed
In the South Eveleigh Community Rooftop Garden, join Gardening Australia’s Clarence Slockee and Wildflower at a Potting Shed Session, as part of our inaugural South Eveleigh Street Party.
The session, suitable for families and kids, will include a tour of the South Eveleigh Community Rooftop Garden, a workshop on native plants and a potting class with a takeaway seedling to plant and nurture at home.

Needing no introduction, Clarence Slockee is a Cudgenburra/Bundjalung Aboriginal man with a long family history of bushmen, farmers and fishermen growing up in the lush Tweed Valley. He intertwines his love of plants, education, culture, design and the arts into all his work. He is the Director and founder of Jiwah, a 100% Aboriginal-owned company that delivers a range of collaborative projects including urban native species green space – including South Eveleigh.
Joining Clarence is the local indigenous-led-not for profit-social enterprise Wildflower Gardens for Good, who creates and nurtures native green spaces, working with communities to build a sustainable connection to country. They also provide safe, meaningful work for people facing barriers to employment.
