Scavenger Hunt
Join our fun family activity celebrating the amazing history and intriguing stories of the Eveleigh Locomotive Workshops.
Your adventure will begin when you collect your ‘Work Order’ card from the Sub-Forman’s office in near the Blacksmith’s Workshop. The scavenger hunt activity will then take you on a trail in and around the workshops as you complete a list of tasks, discovering the hidden secrets and stories of South Eveleigh along the way. Don’t forget to get your ‘Work Order’ signed off by the Sub-Foreman before you leave!
This activity will be facilitated by expert heritage professionals (and educators) who will be on hand to answer questions and share stories of South Eveleigh’s remarkable history and ground-breaking redevelopment project.
When: Saturday November 4 (11am – 2pm) & Sunday November 5 (10am – 4pm)
Where: Locomotive Workshop, Blacksmiths Workshop, ‘Sutho’s Shed’ (located between Eveleigh Works and Brewdog South Eveleigh)
Cost: Free
This activity is suitable for families and requires the use of a smartphone with the capacity to scan QR codes. The activity can be carried out at any pace however can be completed in under 20 minutes by speedy clue hunters!
The trail takes place in both indoor and outdoor areas, all of which are fully accessible. We recommend that you are prepared for inclement weather and wear shoes suitable for walking.
