In celebration of Indigenous Business Month, CSIRO will be hosting at South Eveleigh an Indigenous Business Market, showcasing the creativity and innovation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs.

Explore a vibrant marketplace where Indigenous artists, designers, and entrepreneurs will showcase their incredible products. This CSIRO event is more than just a shopping experience—it’s a chance to connect with the makers, hear the stories behind their work, and support ethical, community-driven businesses. Every purchase made directly benefits Indigenous stallholders, with 100% of proceeds going to them.

Discover a diverse array of goods, including:

  • Art, homewares, and jewellery
  • Fashion, clothing, and children's items
  • Textiles, woodwork, and woven goods
  • Plants and bushfoods
  • Baked treats featuring native bush tucker flavours
  • Skincare crafted from native ingredients

For the foodies, try some dishes made with native ingredients! Koori Kultcha will be onsite offering Crocodile Chipolatas and Emu Sausage rolls. Or for the sweet tooth Drips and Dough will serving freshly made donuts alongside Lone Crow Coffee’s.

Enjoy performances by two incredible Indigenous artists as you explore the market:

12 - 1:30pm: Mi-Kaisha
With a sound rooted in soulful 90s tunes and island music, Mi-Kaisha brings a dynamic blend of R&B, Soul, and Pop, delivering a vibrant and versatile sound that will captivate the crowd.

1:30 - 3pm: Jesse
Jesse, a rising star from Wollongong, shares original music that beautifully reflects his contemporary Indigenous experience. With a mix of soulful, Indie, Pop, and Blues, his heartfelt stories and unique voice will leave a lasting impression.

This event is open to the public. Come and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, support local businesses and learn more about CSIRO's reconciliation commitments and Indigenous-led science.
