Redfern Station Upgrade Update April 2022

Pedestrian access to Platform 10 will be closed between 2am Saturday April 30 - 2am Monday May 2 and 2am Saturday May 21 - 2am Monday May 23. Traffic control and detour signs will be in place to direct pedestrians via Gibbons Street.

From Sunday May 1 to Friday June 3, there will be a temporary road closure on Rosehill and Marian Streets, between Margaret and Cornwallis Streets. Residents can access their properties via Cornwallis Street and traffic control will be in place to manage cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists.

Work activities on the New Southern Concourse will continue throughout May. The standard construction hours are generally between Monday-Friday, from 7am-6pm, however some after hours work is required to ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians and motorists, and to minimise impacts to traffic. Some of the activities scheduled outside of the standard construction hours include: 

- Electrical work
- Plant and equipment delivery
- Installation and pre-assembly of bridge components
- Platform resurfacing
- Service investigation
- Excavation
- Stormwater installation
