Redfern Station Upgrade Update September 2022
Throughout September, work activities will continue on the New Southern Concourse, and new station entrances and shared zones in Little Eveleigh and Marian Streets.
Pedestrian access to Platform 10 will be closed for electrical work, delivery of plant and equipment, installation and pre-assembly of bridge components including steelwork, stairs, lifts, canopies, roof panels and screens will occur during the following dates:
- 2am Saturday 17 September to 2am Monday 19 September
- 2am Saturday 24 September to 2am Monday 26 September
A single lane closure on Lawson Street will be in place for service investigation, excavation and stormwater installation will also occur intermittently at the corner of
Little Eveleigh Street and Lawson Street on the following dates:
- 8am Saturday 17 September to 6am Monday 19 September
- 8am Saturday 24 September to 6am Monday 26 September
temporarily removed. The street will remain open for pedestrians and cyclists on the dedicated cycle path. Signage, barriers and traffic controllers will be in place to safely direct vehicles during construction.
During September, a temporary road closure on Rosehill and Marian Streets, and removal of 5 parking spaces on Cornwallis Street will be in place for a period of five days, from Monday 19 September to Friday 23 September. This is to allow the paving for the shared zone to be sealed.
Changes to Parking:
- Rosehill Street: Up to five parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable from Thursday 1 September to Friday 30 September
- Cornwallis Street: Up to five parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable from Monday 19 September to Friday 23 September.
- Wilson Street: Up to six parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable from Wednesday 14 September to Wednesday 21 September.
