Redfern Station Upgrade Update December 2022

December 2022 marks nearly two years since major construction began on the Redfern Station Upgrade.

Throughout December, work will continue on the New Southern Concourse, new station entrances and shared zones in Little Eveleigh and Marian streets.

Pedestrian access to Platform 10 will be closed 2am Saturday 10 to 2am Monday 19 December for electrical work, delivery of plant and equipment, installation and pre-assembly of bridge components including steelwork, stairs, lifts, canopies, roof panels and screens will occur during the following dates:

  • 2am Saturday 10 to 2am Monday 12 December
  • 10pm Friday 16 to 2am Monday 19 December

From 12am Thursday 1 to 5pm Friday 9 December, the Sydney Trains gate/driveway at the end of Little Eveleigh Street will continue to be closed. Entry to this area is via Carriageworks Way. Driveway access is restored from 5pm each Friday.

From Monday 12 to Friday 16 December, a temporary road closure on Rosehill and Marian streets and removal of five parking spaces on Cornwallis Street will be in place to allow the shared zone paving to be sealed (subject to weather). 
 
Changes to Parking:
  • Rosehill Street: Up to five parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable from Thursday 1 to Saturday 31 December
  • Cornwallis Street: Up to five parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable from Monday 12 to Friday 16 December
