Redfern Station Upgrade Update March 2023
During February, work continued on the new bridge and on Marian and Little Eveleigh streets. Footpath widening continued on Ivy Street and sealing pavers on Marian and Little Eveleigh Streets.
Throughout March, work will continue on the new Southern Concourse, new station entrances and shared zones in Little Eveleigh and Marian streets.
The standard construction hours are 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 6pm Saturday.

Electrical cabling work on the existing northern concourse will occur from 10pm to 7am, Monday 6 to Friday 10 March and 2am Saturday 18 to 2am Monday 20 March.
Station area and platforms
During March, work will continue around the station and on the platforms. Behind Platform 1 rock breaking, excavation, concreting, drilling, material removal, and the installation of canopy parts, stairs and a lift shaft will occur.
Little Eveleigh Street
Work will continue during standard construction hours in the stage two construction area outside 125-127 Little Eveleigh Street. Work including removing materials, installation of external scaffolding, concreting, service installation and testing, and the installation of steel beams and columns.
A crane will operate behind Platform 1 to remove and deliver material and equipment.
Ivy Street
From Wednesday 1 to Friday 3 March, work to widen the footpath in Ivy Street will continue. Street is temporarily closed to vehicles and parking is temporarily unavailable. The street remains open to pedestrians and cyclists. Signage, barriers and traffic controllers will safely direct vehicles during construction. Work on Ivy Street includes removal of barriers and fencing.
Marian Street
Work in Marian Street compound includes the assembly of bridge components, excavation, paving, landscaping, tree planting, fit out, tiling, painting and cladding installation for the electrical building, and service connections. The canopy for the new station entrance and associated steel parts will also be installed within the Marian Street compound area. Cranes will operate within the compound.
